GOOFS (Girls’ Organization of Fun and Service) is a fun-loving, crafty group of women who meet every Wednesday morning at 11:00 am in the Social Hall. We work on many different craft projects – from quilts to ornaments to pillows and more. Many of the items created by GOOFS are sold at COC’s annual bazaar where we staff a large craft booth as well as run other booths. Bazaar is always the first Saturday in December.
In addition to craft projects, the women of GOOFS organize and staff two annual rummage sales and help with church-sponsored dinners, Lenten Luncheons and occasional receptions. The funds raised by GOOFS are used to both supplement the church’s budget and support a variety of charities.
New people are always welcome to join! Just come on any Wednesday with project of your own or ready to help someone else and be sure to bring a sandwich for lunch!
